Genshin Impact Version 7.1 Launches Soon with Tons of New Content

Genshin Impact is heading back into Snezhnaya with Version 7.1, A Rekviem for the Underworld. It’s set to launch on September 23rd, and the situation in Snezhnaya is getting worse. The nation is preparing a new plan to push back against the Heavenly Principles.

At the same time, Ronova, the Ruler of Death, is becoming an even bigger problem. The new Archon Quest is going to put you face-to-face with the Tsaritsa. Ronova has been using her authority to seriously slow down Snezhnaya’s progress, so you’ll eventually head to the front lines and fight alongside the nation in a climactic battle against her.

Things get even more complicated with Rhinedottir, the Ruler of Life, entering the picture. Completing the new Archon Quest in Genshin Impact Version 7.1 will reward you with Primogems ×620. The update will also introduce special assignments from the Tsaritsa’s Confidential Secretary.

There are also two new 5-star characters arriving in Genshin Impact Version 7.1

They are Vesna and Vodyanitsa, and both have their own ways of messing around with Stellar Swirl reactions. Vesna is the youngest Commander in Druzhna history and is known for being extremely loyal to the Tsaritsa. She’s joining as a 5-star Anemo Sword user, and one of her big combat tricks is turning Cryo Swirl reactions into Stellar Swirl reactions.

Vodyanitsa, meanwhile, is the Prima Donna of Snezhnograd’s Korolevskiy Troupe, and she’s also a kind-hearted Water Imp. She’s another 5-star, this time using a Hydro Catalyst. Her Elemental Skill lets her transform into her Water Imp form and keep her song going.

The Event Wishes are getting split between the two phases. Vesna and Vodyanitsa will appear in Genshin Impact in the first phase of Version 7.1. Meanwhile, Skirk and Escoffier will return during the second phase.

Then there’s the Moonchase Festival, which is finally coming back to Liyue after five years. It will have three new mini-games inspired by Liyue thaumaturges, with various rewards available, including a new 4-star Sword.
