Maya’s Debut Track “LOST” is Available Now

Maya, an 18-year-old emerging artist based in New York, has released her debut track “LOST.” Written as the official theme song for the Japanese TV drama LOST10, the track delves into the contemporary struggle of navigating a world where truth feels increasingly elusive. Through layered emotion and vivid imagery, it portrays how human feelings refract and intersect like scattered light — inviting listeners to pause, look inward, and confront the convictions that remain at their core.

Maya shared:

“In a world where information spreads endlessly through social media, people nowadays are unsure if all we see or hear is the truth. That’s where this song began, with the idea of questioning everything.

The more we search for what is “right,” the easier it becomes to lose sight of who we truly are. Still, there’s an SOS deep inside that we can’t ignore. Instead of accepting the answers we’re given, we question, we get lost, and we keep searching for a truth of our own.

This song captures that struggle,

the uncertainty, confusion, but determination to hold on to yourself in a world where it’s becoming harder to know what to believe.”

The official music video for “LOST” has been announced and is set to premiere on October 30 (Friday) at 11PM JST. Drawing audiences deeper into the song’s world, the video creates an unsettling yet captivating atmosphere through striking visual contrasts of light and dark.

Despite being an independent artist to date, Maya has steadily built momentum through prominent projects including “Blue feat. Maya,” featured in a global Honda commercial; m-flo’s “loves” collaboration series; and “Shukusai no Uta,” an insert song for acclaimed animation director Mamoru Hosoda’s latest film, “Scarlet.”

Her second single “ROMANTICIZE,” co-created with Rol3ert — an artist selected for Spotify Japan’s RADAR: Early Noise 2026 — was added to over 2,000 Spotify playlists worldwide. The accompanying music video reached 870,000 views within four months, broadening Maya’s reach beyond Japan.

With viral momentum building on TikTok, major creative tie-ins, and making her artist debut, Maya is undoubtedly a rising artist to watch from Japan.
