Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance Brings Back Teostra, Adds Faster Weapon

Capcom has revealed new details for Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance, confirming the return of Teostra alongside several gameplay changes coming with the expansion.

An extended version of the latest Ascendance trailer showed Teostra, the fire-breathing Elder Dragon, as one of the monsters hunters will encounter in the expansion.

Several quality-of-life changes were also confirmed. Hunters will be able to swap weapons faster without using a Seikret mount and change equipment outside their tent through the Item Box.

These improvements aren’t exclusive to Ascendance and will also be added to the base version of Monster Hunter Wilds.

Monster Hunter Wilds is available worldwide on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. The Switch 2 version will be released on December 4, 2026.
